Brownulated® Brown Sugar Syrup


Brownulated® Brown Sugar Syrup, formerly known as refiner’s syrup, is available in light and dark versions. It is a great liquid alternative to conventional brown sugars, corn syrup or medium invert syrups. Available in many pack formats from pails to bulk trucks, allowing efficient production.

Light Brown Sugar Syrup:
• 77.5 Bx
• >30% Sucrose
• <60% Invert

Dark Brown Sugar Syrup
• 75 Bx
• >35% Sucrose
• <48% Invert


Applications include bakery, cereal, confections, processed foods, sauces, and snacks.


Brown sugar syrup is Kosher certified and can be used to impart or enhance medium to dark color and flavor in a variety of sweet and savory ingredients, such as chocolate, coffee, cinnamon, tomato, and vanilla. It promotes browning and shelf stability in baked applications.
