PROCEDURE:

Dissolve yeast into 115g warm water.

Stir in Qwik-Flo® Molasses Granules, shortening, salt, water and whole wheat flour. Beat until smooth.

Mix in all-purpose flour until the dough is easy to handle.

Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead about ten (10) minutes. When the dough is smooth and elastic, place into a greased bowl, greased side up, and cover. Let rise in a warm place for one (1) hour.

Punch down dough, divide into halves. Flatten each half into 18"x9". Fold into thirds and roll, sealing after each turn. Place loaves, seam side down, into two greased baking pans (9"x5"x3"). Brush with butter and let rise one (1) hour.

Bake at 375°F for 40-45 minutes. Remove and cool.
